Nursery:

The nursery watches babies ages 0-4 years old, and is staffed with 1-2 adult volunteers every Sunday morning after worship. We also have a quiet room next to the nursery for breastfeeding mothers who want privacy.

Kids Sunday School:

For ages 4-10 years old, this class meets every Sunday morning after worship and focuses on teaching our kids the word of God in fun ways with songs, stories, crafts, and games. They are currently going through the Gospel Project kids Bible curriculum.

Teen Sunday School:

For ages 8 -15 years old, this class meets most Sunday mornings after worship. In this class we focus on teaching the foundations of the Christian faith and prepare the kids to join the congregation.

The Safety of Your Children is Our Priority

At Trinity Bible Fellowship, the safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is something we take seriously. All staff and volunteers who work with children undergo thorough background checks before serving in any ministry role.

For our Nursery and Kids Church, we use a parent check-in and check-out system. Upon your child's first visit, you will complete a simple intake form providing us with your child's allergy information and emergency contact details, so we are always prepared to care for your little one well.

We also maintain a firm policy of never changing diapers or accompanying children to the restroom without explicit permission from a parent or guardian. In those situations, we will text you directly so that you can come to the classroom to assist your child. This policy exists to protect both your children and our volunteers.

We want every family at Trinity Bible Fellowship to feel confident and at peace leaving their children in our care. If you have any questions about our children's ministry safety policies, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Meet the Team

    Kim McCarthy

    Head Teacher

Kim oversees all the Children’s Ministries at TBF, and teaches the Kids Sunday School.

  • Mitchell Pappas

    Teen Youth Pastor

I gave my life to Christ in the summer of 2003 when I was thirteen years old at a camp called Island Lake. It was there that I heard the gospel for the first time and came face to face with the reality of who Jesus is, my need for a Savior, and the hope of eternal life. In the months that followed, I began to grow in my faith and became more involved in church life.

Two years later, a friend invited me to Trinity Bible Fellowship. From my very first visit, I knew I had found my church home. I was immediately drawn to the careful teaching of Scripture and the depth with which God's Word was handled.

As I continued to grow in my faith, I began serving on the worship team. Over the years that followed, I developed a deep love for theology, apologetics, and evangelism. In 2014, I was ordained to pastoral ministry by Dr. Phil Fernandes.

Today, I have the privilege of serving as the youth pastor and as the bass player on the worship team at Trinity Bible Fellowship. My wife, Terra, and I are grateful to be raising our three children, Kora, Olivia, and Adam, as part of the Trinity Bible Fellowship family.

    Kathryn Porter

    Head Nursery Volunteer

Kathryn repented and surrendered her life to Christ at the age of 21 after a series of bad decisions brought her to the end of herself. As she describes it, "I wrecked my life, and came to the end of myself after a series of bad decisions." Reflecting on God's grace, she often thinks of the words from Keith Green's song: "Like waking up, from the longest dream, how real it seemed, until Your love broke through."

Kathryn has faithfully served at Trinity Bible Fellowship for the past 12 years. She is especially passionate about encouraging the mothers of TBF to "love the Lord with all their hearts, souls and minds," while exhorting them to practice the biblical calling of Titus 2:4-5.

Kathryn and her husband, Tim, have six children, with one waiting for them in heaven. They enjoy spending time outdoors, rain or shine, homesteading, reading, and simply being together as a family. What she loves most about Trinity Bible Fellowship is seeing the children grow in their faith through the years and hearing Pastor Phil "Doc" Fernandes' straightforward, consistent, and direct expounding of God's Word each week.
